Ah, it's New Year's Eve again
And with that comes another year of resolutions and promises. Instead of the annual ‘let’s get healthier (skinnier) and save money promises, here are a different set of goals.
1. Read more
2. Run a marathon.
3. Be more outgoing.
4. Stay in touch better with family and friends.
5. Volunteer
6. Find a job I love. Or like. Or can at least tolerate.
7. Be more crafty.

I went for a run today - on the first official day of winter - in shorts.
Saw my elderly neighbor on the way out. We exchanged pleasantries and he told me to “stay sober.”

All of these company work party posts are making me totally jealous, you guys!
Firstly, I work in a restaurant. There is no party and I’m lucky I don’t have to work Christmas day.
Secondly when I did have an office job, the best holiday party we ever saw was eating olive garden catering at card tables in the company wearhouse.

When procrastination pays off
I was planning on getting my parents a gift card to their favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh along with a few other small things, but kept putting it off.
And today, it’s 50 percent off on Groupon, plus 6 percent cash back on eBay.
Double Win.
Now, I just need to get two other small presenets and I’m done with Christmas shopping!

Good deal, indeed.
Ran 8 miles this morning, which is the farthest I’ve run since my stress fracture. Win.
Now spending the rest of the day organizing and making marinara sauce for sausage and peppers.
