Dear District of Columbia speed camera,
I came home last night to a red, white and blue envelope, return address: Metropolitan police.
The contents? A $100 fine printed on Americana stationary
The charge: Traveling 66MPH in a 50 last week along the parkway.
Not cool little speed camera. I mean a 66 on the highway is hardly speeding. I know, I should know better, but you didn’t even give me the chance to explain.

I’ll be signing up for this half marathon. It’s been put in both mine and my mom’s calender, so it will be happening.
